PT Cruiser Cast

Chrysler LLC announced today a glimpse of their electric and extended range vehicles. The Dodge EV looks promising, and the hybrid minivan makes sense, but as a Jeep lover I fail to see the reason for a hybrid Jeep (maybe it's just me). Since it appears that Chrysler wants to utilize current production models, why can't we have an all electric PT Cruiser? 

Seeing what's coming in the future, how about a drop in conversion for those of us that don't want to give up the vehicles we love?
